L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

This small city is the third most important in the network of antique dealers, only behind London and Paris. It has more than 300 antique houses that have made it their main claim. Between the Luberon, Ventoux and the Alpilles, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is an unavoidable stop in the Vaucluse. Crossed by the river Sorgue, from which it gets its name, this peasant Venice has all the charms of a city of water. L’isle sur la Sorgue turns out to be one of the most charming places in Provence, in France and also one of the most unknown. It is not for nothing that they call it “Venice of Provence”. It is normal that it does not enter the “classic route” of this region that usually stops at more famous places such as Aix-en-Provence, Saint-Remy, Arles or Les Baux de Provence. However, this small town is quite a discovery, not only for its unquestionable beauty and Provencal charm, but also for being one of the places in Europe with the most antique dealers per square meter.
