Accompanied by one of our experienced tour guides and driver start the day visiting Montserrat, the most important mountain in Catalonia, home to the Benedictine sanctuary and monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat. At the monastery you will find the Virgin of Montserrat, popularly known as La Moreneta or the Black Madonna because of her dark complexion. On some days, the Escolania de Montserrat, which is one of the oldest children’s choirs in Europe, sings around midday in the monastery.
